That is my untangle. once you get it up and running yes it runs fine. however, OPn/PFSense took less than 10 minutes to install on this hardware. Untangle took over an hour. It was...
ok it just took a while. i had waited thirty minutes so i posted this..it just now updated the ddns ip..:)
I just installed 16.5 and I have full connectivity. however, the system is not updating my ddns.net IP on my wan interface. Where are the logs for this so I can see why it's not working?
I have an iodd(i forget the model will look tonight) and it's invaluable..even doing shop installed..jsut plug it into a usb..boot(after selecting the iso) and go. I can also make it be an external...
ok so i'll use the vm trick..if the current appliance can run the latest i'm sure the client will be happy..:)
i can only find links to 15.1 is there a link depository of the 13.x.x, 14,15,15.1, 16 somewhere?
so i would have to upgrade this appliance step by step to 16 then i can generate a backup that is compatible with the new appliance?
With the time commitment required It will probably be a better value to replace it. I'll draw both up and see what the client wants to do..:)
nope this came installed from the factory with 32 bit...can i save the config and apply to the new install?
I have recently acquired a client with a u25 appliance that is running 13.2.1 Can i just jump right to the latest or does this require multiple hops..or can this appliance not be upgraded to the...
I have a client with a 32 bit atom UT installation. This is a custom hardware install. They are on version 13.2.1. The machine has two gigs of ram installed. IS there an upgrade path to the...
Many of the cryptomining stuff I have seen is usually carried by ads and javascript. Ublock origin is a plugin for edge, firefox, and chrome that blocks edge and most of the known cryptomining...

There is nothing to prevent. The system is using memory normally..this is exactly how Linux(which is what Untangle is based upon) works. As long as your swap is below 20% there is nothing to worry...
Ninja is the title the forums gave me..my username is hescominsoon..:)

absolutely. You can put each ssid into it's own vlan as well. I have more than a couple of installs with more than one SSID on the aps each on their own vlans and subnets.
make sure to put the...
That's the easy part..one SSID to rule them all. I like using the whole ubiquiti stack from AP to firewlal as then the controller takes care of all of the vlan settings across the devices after you...
I would actually have an all Ubiquiti system here from firewall to switch to ap. If you setup things correctly the controller will be able to manage everything. Ubiquiti makes it stupid simple for...
I got blown off by support over this...glad to see I am not the only one..:)
or jsut leave the console only for the cli. take the browser out of it.
That's a chrommium issue not a linux/untangle issue. Not supposed to leave that open all the time anyway..:)
Except that Windows actually does allocate swap on a byte-to-byte basis(it might not use it but it allocates it)..Linux usually does not.
Linux is not Windows. Linux should see 90+% usage. As dirk said if youa re not using swap this is normal operation.
