The system board has issues and freezes with GRUB but not LILO and GRUB2. I thought that the install media might be GRUB2 when you boot to it but then installs GRUB .97 with Untangle. Untangle...
I downloaded the x64 image of the latest version and have been attempting to install it on a Dell Optiplex 320 from CD and USB. I even tried a completely different Optiplex 320. A search of the...
Sorry this is off-topic but I was curious how well the Draytek performs for you. I've had my eye on them lately but it's hard to find actual reviews of the product. For the price/featureset they...
It'd even make a nice add on in the normal UI. Wouldn't necessarily need to be part of an app or anything. pfSense has it set up so that you can click a button next to an IP on the DHCP client list...
Ya, I'm also using UT with Comcast. The only thing that will cause me slowdowns with torrents is if I saturate my upstream without QOS setup. The only thing I can max my down on is newsgroups. The...
If you configure your torrent client properly Untangle will already does an excellent job with QOS.
Would it be possible to add the ability to specifiy the gateway by interface name in the future? For those with dynamic IPs updating static routes would become an almost daily thing. I understand...
Even with the FTP helper in pfSense enabled it still seemed like connecting to FTP was always hit and miss without forcing all the traffic down 1 WAN. I experience the same issue with Untangle, but...
He made it sound like he was put on notice by his ISP for downloading copyrighted material. I almost pulled a client's connection for the same reason the other day after we were sent a notice by the...
A torrent client is definitely not something you want to be running on your network gateway device.
What kind of hardware are you running on?
Thanks for the heads up. I hadn't gotten around to configuring QOS on my new install yet, but had assumed this would have been integrated in the final release.

No matter what your ISP will always know what your IP is and what you are pushing across it unless you push it through a VPN tunnel or some other method of tunneling encrypted traffic. You could try...
Hide your IP? From who? If you are worried about getting sued for torrenting or something then you should be using something like peer guardian with your torrent client. If you're worried about...
I installed it in my fresh install from the 6.2 ISO last night. It's an awesome new feature to have. There was no ugly text or anything in place of the adds, just a nice empty box. I watched the...
If it takes you a few hours to restore from a backup you must be doing something wrong. I can reinstall and restore from backup in less than an hour and my install probably takes longer than others...

I agree. But it would work until the enhancement request is complete. Personally I think the option to enable/disable sticky connections with a checkbox in the balancer config is a must as well.
What about adding a firewall rule to force it down the WAN of your choosing?
Aww I was kind of hoping the ad blocker would function exactly as Ad Block Plus where it just completely removes the existence of the ad from the page. :(
Glad to hear that. I have a lot of random stuff that occupies IP space: printer, 2 360s, 1 original xbox for xbmc, wireless AP, etc. I have had experiences with other subscription gateway devices...
After checking out the pricing when it was posted yesterday the individual cost of the failover/balancer package is not to bad for a year on the 1-10 user plan. I'm going to have to put it through...
