  1. How can you tag a specific session with Events --> Triggers?

I'm trying to tag sessions that are connecting to servers outside the US and in turn use Tunnel VPN to route that traffic through a VPN tunne.

In order to accomplish this in the Triggers section I...

That's good to know Rob and I appreciate the explanation!

I did perform the update on the office box but in testing at home I noticed that I had to re-export all of the user ovpn files after the...

I decided to take the plunge at home and exported everything, deleted OpenVPN from Untangle, reinstalled it, and reimported everything.

I don't see an option besides Passepartout (which I tried with no change) for OpenVPN on iOS or at least I can't find the OpenVPN Community client for it anywhere?

    I'm trying to get Untangle...

It's not just iOS as a coworker tried Android as well. It connects but no traffic will pass.

    PC's work fine with OpenVPN.

Android and iOS works fine with ProtonVPN to New Zealand using the...

As an update I set up L2TP at home and it works just fine. I would test Wireguard but I'm on the Home Pro license so I don't have that ability.
  7. OpenVPN Connect on iOS 15.02 is painfully slow...any thoughts?

Wireguard is working fine and is as snappy as usual, however, OpenVPN is unusable and is only showing 5.4Kb of traffic. I can't even run a speed test as it fails to connect.

    I have tried on 2...

I guess it wasn't ever supposed to work with HomePro but mine was since 2019. It appears they "fixed the glitch" :lol
  9. SOLVED: Virus Blocker acting strange (licensing issues)?

On the main Apps screen it was red so I went in it shows this.

    My licenses show this:

    Yeah it's not working.

I just changed the Primary DNS server back to 1.1.1.1 and everything stopped even though 9.9.9.9 is working. Since 1.1.1.1 is down but 1.0.0.1 is up I changed the Primary...

Or is there a log of failed DNS lookups anywhere that states which DNS server failed?

    Sorry for wording it incorrectly.

At any rate I had 1.1.1.1 in the Primary DNS Server of the WAN connection and 9.9.9.9 in the Secondary DNS Server. When 1.1.1.1 went down we lost all DNS lookup...
  13. DNS settings not working correctly on WAN connection?

It appears that 1.1.1.1 went down for us today, however, 9.9.9.9 was working.

The issue is that rather than using 9.9.9.9 it seems that Untangle just stopped performing DNS lookups.

    Is there...

    Thanks for the info.

I think think the "Block new sessions during network configuration" setting will be my best bet.
  16. Changing rules doesn't affect existing sessions?

Should changes cause existing sessions that are now blocked via a rule to no longer pass traffic?

I'm trying to stop outgoing VPN traffic that is already established.

    Figured it out.

-Adding a Block/Tarpit rule doesn't affect current sessions
-With the OpenVPN GUI Block doesn't work and I had to use Tarpit instead.

    Block outgoing OpenVPN traffic?

Is it possible to do this? I'd think it should be via the Rules but with an Application of OPENVPN set it doesn't seem to block anything.

Another thing that I have found is that tags must be lower case. I'm not sure why but any time I try to put a tag like "Test" it fails to apply, however, if I just use "test" it's fine.

I'm just going to switch back to OpenVPN at home as while WireGuard is great it's not $100/yr great and I really don't care if I have Threat Prevention.
