Default Quarantine Digest Request Page Broken in IE 8????

When I try to request a digest email from https://untangle.msc-missouri.lan/quarantine/ I get the attached page. There is no where to enter the email address. Basically the form is gone. I have also tried the "compatibility" button. IE 7 seems to work fine. Ideas?

Yes, it is a problem with IE8 (and also IE7 "compatible" mode of IE8).

Default I put a bug in Bugzilla

I posted this in Bugzilla. Someone else posted, "Add support for IE8 so that the product works seamlessly". I thought that was a bit vauge so I added one.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Default LOL Stupid IE Updates

Yep I agree it's probably the browser not UT. The bug report is probably not really valid if this is the case. I don't know why I thought it would be a bug . Anyway it's there for someone to look into if needed.

    Thanks again.

Further to this: (For the assistance of those who are actually trying to fix this problem)

If you click on the link it doesn’t work in IE8. If you cut and paste the link it does work in IE8. Weird.

    Error is:

    JS: ext-all-debug.js
Message: Object doesn't support this property or method
    Line: 2675
    Char: 17
    Code: 0

The link works either way in firefox.

As of the date of this post, apparently extjs.com had a fix in SVN a month ago for this.

@untangle-support: is there a fix for this with paid support?

@sky-knight: interesting attitude to say that it's IE8 that is broken, when the javascript library in question (all 938kb of it ) doesn't seem to have any exception handling what so ever. A very common problem with "open source" software.

According to http://extjs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45610 the actual problem now is that IE8 follows standards so closely that just about all the IE specific code in ext.js can be skipped.

Just because you're one of the 1/3 of internet users who don't use IE, doesn't mean that problems like this don't piss off 100% of non-technical users who don't give a rat's about which browser they use.

Believe me, it's much easier for us to swap out and replace Untangle as a firewall than it is to swap out IE8 for 50 users and the line of business applications that do work with IE8 (and only IE8.)
