You have Spam Blocker lite, you would need to purchase the full Spam Blocker. Sorry for my confusing prior message. The names are both so close.

Spam Blocker is now Spam Blocker Lite

The Commtouch Spam Booster, was an upgrade for Spam Blocker that gave it more capacity, you needed both modules installed to work.

As of 9.1, this is no longer the case.

You have Spam Blocker Lite (free)
and you have Spam Blocker (Paid, with commtouch integrated)

So no more dual module, it's just one module. I was pointing it out only because the Spam Filtering capacities of Untangle, while significant, aren't equivalent to a paid filter like the Symantec product mentioned. Without the Commtouch engine active, I fully expect Untangle to miss things.

My system still shows 9.0 and if I try to update it says there are no updates. Hmmm... So why does it only miss spam for one account? It seems rock solid for the other 14. I understand that his email address must be on some list for spammers but to miss only emails for this one account seems odd... I will try out the commtouch integrated Spam Blocker when my system updates.

If you're running 9.0, make sure it's not 9.0.2. If you're running 9.0 base, then your system can't browse the Internet, which means DNS on the UT server isn't working, or something else is in the way, which means the box can't get updates, or use half of it's Spam features.

Get on the UT physical console, pull up iceweasel, and browse the web. If you can't, you need to troubleshoot UT's configuration.

When I go to System Info this is what I get... Am I in trouble?

    Summary:
    UID: <UID deleted>
    Build: 9.0.2~svn20110815r29485release9.0-1lenny

    Java: 1.6.0_20

Console access might be difficult, is there a way to use SSH or other method to test connectivity? When I use the Troubleshooting tools under Configuration > Networking I pass the connectivity test and I can use the DNS tool to properly resolve addresses. Is that sufficient testing or not?

    You're fine, that's 9.0.2.

And if you've got ssh, just ping updates.untangle.com. If it responds you're fine.

Correction, updates.untangle.com doesn't respond to ICMP. But it should resolve to an address. You can ping google.com to verify connectivity.

I misunderstood this to mean the 9.0.2 is bad. Sorry. Thanks for the input. When should I expect my system to update? It is set to auto update every day.

9.1 is rolling out as far as I know, it will update sometime in the next month.
