    Default hot to Del all POP3 spam?

    Can POP message be just deleted not marked?

    Not according to RFCs. They may only be marked or passed...same for IMAP. Some vendors do delete them, but they are not operating according to RFCs.

    Uhmm... so, do you think we can file a bug request to have an option in the spam blocker to follow or NOT follow the RFC?

    I think you could file an enhancement request for that. Don't know how it would fare, but the decision whether to delete or pass is ultimately up to the customer. We do deal with customers.

    it has nothing to do with RFCs, they can't be deleted.

    POP is a synchronous protocol. The client requests the message, the message is delivered. If we don't deliver the message the client hangs indefinitely.

    Yup, you want spam deleted you need to host your own mail server with SMTP filtration.. then you get all sorts of toys and UT can be a full relay and do whatever it wants.

    Of course you could just specify a filter rule in your mail client to grab anything with [spam] in the subject and move it to the deleted items folder...
