Default Is there a way to whitelist a ListServe?

I have a POP user that is subscribed to a few listserves. Unfortunately, 80% or so of the emails that come from them are marked as [SPAM].

I have tried adding the listserve addresses to the "From Safe-List" but it doesn't have any affect. The problem I see is in the event log, the listserve is actually shown in the receiver field (not sender). Make sense?

In the sender field is the actual address of the sender (which there are hundreds of!). I'm not keen on adding all of those addresses to the whitelist!

    Anyone have some insight?

As far as I can tell, the easiest way that can be done today, is to add a custom rule to SpamAssassin that hits on the receiver address and score it negatively.

I've been digging around on SpamAssin's site but haven't seen how to do that, can you link me the how-to?

    Thanks!

Using VI or other favorite linux text editor, create a 10_*.cf file in /etc/spamassassin

    Example: /etc/spamassassin/10_MyRules.cf

Information on how to construct the rules can be found at:
    http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/WritingRules

Let me know if you have any problems.
