    Question Network Layout Widget

Searched the forums, but couldn't find an answer to this question....

The Network Layout Widget on the Dashboard lists each interface and has a number under each interface. What does this number represent?
    Is it:
a- current devices on that interface
b- all known devices on that interface
    c- something else

I'm guessing it's option b? My widget numbers aren't matching up with the current interface statuses.

Follow-up question- is there any way to customize this widget?

Yes it is indeed option b and comes from the host table. That is not one of our customizable widgets.

For the record, I wish you could change the sort order on that widget. Sorting by interface number is annoying - I would rather it be alphabetical.

Thanks degraw32. I figured that was the case.

JasonJoel- I agree on the sorting. If we can't sort alphabetically, it'd be nice if we could set our own interface numbers.

See, since the interfaces are shown by interface number, instead of alphabetical, my external-internal network bridge interfaces don't line up in the widget. Makes it much harder to use, and see what is going on.

Any chance of getting this changed in the future?
