    Default Low download tunnel VPN but good upload speed

    Iam getting 75mbps download and 300mbps upload on gigabit internet. Using tunnel VPN. Why is the download only affected. Is it a problem with tunnel VPN app?

    VPN speed is dependent on multiple factors. Some of the factors are; ISP speed on both ends, Untangle CPU and PCI bus speed, and correct configuration of QoS settings.

    How come it's only affecting download speed?
    The hardware is beefy.
    Switching off intrusion prevention doesn't improve.
    CPU stays quite.

    With other firewall same hardware download speed is touching 450-500Mbps with openvpn. Am I doing something wrong with config file?. Any help will be appreciated. Untangle seems to be an excellent firewall hope this problem gets solved.

    Did you try hooking a laptop directly to your modem?
