    Default function of virus blocker

does the virus blocker lite monitor web traffic and filter it?

the reason i as is my desktop anti-virus caught a attempt from a website but the virus blocker had no signs of catching it, so was wondering does it scan the traffic that goes thru it

i see it has settings for web but it did not catch the virus at all

any reason why it would not catch this type of threat

    Threat: JS Obfusicated-T[trj]

that is what my anti-virus caught and blocked on my desktop

so i checked and i noticed that i dont have a extension .js in my mime type or even in my file extensions list, so i am thinking i should add that extension probably

I would only do that if you have a mega-machine on a small network.

    And?

You're seriously considering making each and every web page your visitors see, fire up at least 6 virus scan processes?

We'll be here after you collect the remaining pieces of your Untangle server up from the dark side of the moon, and again regain sanity.

i have not done any changes thus far,

i looked into it and i noticed that there all checked by default..i have not added any new extensions for it to scan at all...so by me adding one more extension is going to break a server
