    Question Scout IQ needs Connect to Cloud?

    Hello,

    I thought I heard somewhere that for the Scout IQ cloud "scan" to work, the option "Connect to Untangle Cloud" needs to be enabled.

    I can't seem to find this information so can someone confirm this?

    If so I would like to suggest a change for this. In my opinion it would be better to have the "Connect to Untangle Cloud" service do that, and connect the unit to the Command Center. And then keep the Virus Apps Scout IQ option separate from that. This so that the owner can decide for what it wants the unit to connect to the "cloud".

    That information is incorrect, the connect to Untangle Cloud option refers to the Command Center, nothing else.

    If a module uses cloud assets, it will simply use them as needed, you cannot disable this functionality without disabling the entire module.

    The cloud scanner is enabled/disabled by the setting in apps > virus blocker > advanced > "Enable ScoutIQ™ Cloud Scan"

    It has nothing to do with config > system > support > Connect to cloud
