Question Virus blocker / Spam module Timing issue with SMTP sessions

    Hi,

Having an issue at a client where the Data packets are to slow to get to the server so the session is terminated.

If we disable the virus blocker or virus blocker lite the issue goes away.
The receiving server is stiff so we have not been able to adjust the session timeout.

Will disabling Scout IQ/Cloudscan stop the sessions from being delayed?

    Or any other suggestions :-)

The real fix is changing the server so it doesn't close/reset the "idle" connection.

    The other options are:
    1) Move antispam/antivirus to the server itself
    2) Move antispam/antivirus to a store-and-forward system (change MX record, etc)
    3) Bypass the session
    4) Try just one or two (of phish/spam/virus/virus-lite) so that the timeout is less than whatever ridiculous timeout the server has.

    Thanks, Dmorris

I had already told the client the same but now he agreed and we are going for option 4.

PS anyone knows how mailenable handles there sessions limits :-)
