Default Running Untangle 9.4.2 - Will WAN Balancer work?

We're looking to use the WAN Balancer module on our Untangle computer with two ISP connections (two different routers) - one is a DSL router the other is a Fibre router.

I noticed on the WAN Balancer overview that it mentions the following:

•PPPoE & WAN Balancer works with any version after 10.0. For versions earlier than 10.0, PPPoE must be handled by the upstream DSL modem.

Can anyone clarify what it means by PPoE being handled by the upstream DSL modem? Only one of our routers will be a DSL modem (the other will be a fibre router with Ethernet connectivity).

Will the WAN Balancer work with Untangle 9.4.2?

    Thanks

Are you using the PPPoE setting for the WAN in the Untangle Interface settings? If so 9.4 WAN Balancer with not handle the PPPoE connection correctly. If you have DHCP or Static for the WAN setting, then yes 9.4 WAN Balancer will work correctly.

No we the Static setting currently. And will likely use Static for the second/fibre connection once we get this installed.

    Thanks v. much.
