Default can't run WAN failover tests if WAN interface is a VLAN

My WAN interface is a VLAN (the internet connection is far from the server location, and there's no direct connection available... so the WAN goes to a port on a nearby switch, where it is tagged as VLAN 5 and then traverses the backbone to the Untangle on the same physical interface as Internal).

Untangle works quite happily this way, BUT today I wanted to setup WAN Failover to monitor my connection which has been randomly dropping for a few seconds..

When I try to setup a test, I get an error:

    wanfailover-error.PNG

a similar error appears when I click "Generate Suggestions". If I save the test and let it run, all tests fail.

Can you post the Interface window? /admin/index.do#config/network

originally the WAN was connected directly to eth2, which was named External. When I moved the server and changed to the VLAN, I renamed eth2 to "Physical" so that I could call eth1.5 "External".

So the interface selected (1) in Failover is not valid. It should be 103.

oh, crap, you're right... every other time I've done this, the interface box already had the right (only) interface selected so I didn't even think to look at it. When I click the dropdown now, the only possible choice is External which of course works fine.

    Thanks.
