    Default WAN Failover Troubleshooting

I'm getting tons of notification emails-probably 50 or so since midnight. I haven't noticed any disconnects from Comcast. Right now, the test is to 8.8.8.8. Do you think the solution is changing the IP to test? I clicked on Generate Suggestions and it came up with one. Should I use that? Thanks

The new IP still fails. 468 fails so far.

If you're failing ping tests to 8.8.8.8 you've got problems that need fixing, and they can be anywhere between your Untangle and the world.

Thanks. I set the IP back to 8.8.8.8. Can you tell me if the rest of my settings are ok?HomeWANFailoverSettings122618.png

It should be. It's been set up this way since day one.

Honestly, there is no "should be". Config -> Network -> Interfaces, check the ID number is the WAN interface in question ID 1?

You have to confirm this little stuff, because it's the sort of thing that will eat you alive here.

It is 1. WAN Failover has been working pretty well for over a year until last night.

Then I would say it's trying to tell you something... again if Untangle cannot ping 8.8.8.8 reliably, you have issues... and those issues are anywhere between Untangle and the world.
