    Default WAN Failover Tests Logic

Is there a way to link multiple tests for a WAN connection together? I would like to be able to ping one IP Address and if that fails X times then ping a different IP Address X times then only if both fail does that count as a WAN failure.

I am trying to prevent WAN failover false positives due to a single upstream server failure.

Ping google dns 8.8.8.8 or some other secure and reliable in the cloud, then you test not only your upstream pipe(s), also all your ISP infraestructure.

We get false positives with 8.8.8.8 as it does drop packets. Other people have experienced the same issue for example https://www.reddit.com/r/networking/..._an_sla_probe/

I've found using the DNS test is best. If DNS is not reachable, it really does not matter if the WAN is up as traffic requires DNS services. The one requirement is that each WAN use a different DNS servers.
