Multiple Web Caches in Multiple Racks

Hello,

I am experimenting with Racks and Web Cache.

My Default Rack already has Web Cache installed and working.

When I create a new rack with a parent of default, the rack opens with the default rack apps as grey, which means that they are applicable to the new rack.

When I create a new rack with a parent of None, The rack as expected comes with no apps installed.

My question is, if I make a new rack with parent = none, and then install Web Cache in it, do I then have two complete instances of web cache running? If thats the case then some careful hardware planning would be needed.

How much disk / ram would be recommended?

Yes, a new rack with Web Cache installed is a new instance. The cache is relatively small so memory and disk requirements are not dependent on the number of rack as it is on number of sessions and devices behind Untangle.

Its the same cache, so one instances with full traffic will behave pretty much like two instances with half traffic.
