    Default cdninstagram been blocked

    We have had about 2000 emails alerts from different firewalls web filters over the last 12 hours concerning the domain cdninstagram been blocked.
    This seams to be instagrams content delivery network and we are unable to find anything bad about the domain online.
    Has anyone else seen this?

    e.g of links accessed and blocked are;
    http scontent-atl3-1.cdninstagram dot com
    http scontent-lhr3-1.cdninstagram dot com
    http scontent-dfw5-2.cdninstagram dot com
    http scontent-ort2-2.cdninstagram dot com

    Is it ok to whitelist cdninstagram.com/

    Thank You

    Thanks for reporting this. I too have been receiving the exact same message on my NGFW network. These are being reported by Web Filter as BLOCK category of Phishing/Fraud. In my case they're: scontent-dfw5-1.cdninstragram dot com. It only started this week yet the devices associated with them have been on our network for months.

    Also, how exactly do you WHITELIST these in the NGFW Web Filter app? I couldn't figure out how to do it for just these addresses.

    I checked a couple of them from my alerts yesterday evening and zvello showed a normal cdn category for them, it also appears the local dbs in my untangle installs have refreshed as well so the folks at zvello appear to have pulled their heads out.

    Cool. For now, I seem to have successfully added these cdninstagram pages to the PASS SITES list under Web Filter and updated the Config > Events to log but not email on Phishing/Fraud until this is addressed. Seem like legitimate sites being incorrectly classified as Phishing/Fraud.

    Same here.
    Didn't whitelist anything.
    It seems to have resolved.
