    Default 14.2 beta possible bug?

First off I am not sure this is "Web Filter" related. I have been using the beta on and off since it was announced. It has stopped passing web traffic 3 times now. First time I switched back to the non beta version. Second I rebooted and all returned to normal. Last time I had time to investigate a bit. On the untangle It showed threw "trouble shoot" that it was connected and dns was working. I ran upgrade and it completed quickly. So it seems all is well to the world as far as untangle is concerned.

From a workstation I can ping and tracert to external web servers. However web pages time out. Internal stuff works fine. I turned off "Web Filter" and it hung up the web ui. Web traffic started working on the workstation. I opened a new tab and went to the web ui. Web filer was of and seems all was fine. Turning it on gave this error.Web Filter.png
Had to reboot as the wife was getting annoyed.

Move this if it belongs elsewhere.

It sounds like a bug to me.

Can you enable cloud support (if it's not already) and send me a PM (don't post here) with the system UID?

    Thanks!

To me, that error looks like an attempt at a tongue-in-cheek humor.

"Unexpected state: DEAD"... sounds like the Web Filter just commited suicide.

Something similar happening on my system as well with regards to Web Filtering, although not as drastic as Unexpected state: DEAD

Top Categories (By Request) throws a Java error.
