Default Malformed URL Blocked but on pass list

The issue was first raised in 2008 by the below thread:

"Site in pass list still blocked when double-slash in URL "

My client is suffering from the same issue trying to access a malformed URL. The site is on the pass list but the particular URL is being blocked because of the "//" in the address. The below screen shot shows the issue. The first entry is blocked because of the "//" and the second entry passes without issue. This is a show stopper for my client. Wondering if there is a work around in place or if a solution has been developed.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

The problem is the syntax of the url
The people of fisherpaykel must write right the paths inside the server.

I have to assume that is not going to be done in the short term. How do we resolve now. Posting to fisherpaykel is likely to be ignored and I'm sure they're not the only site that has this type of issue.

Maybe in the default rack, you can add a policy to bypass all traffic to the ip of fisherpaykel, if them have one or few ips only.

yes, the fisherpaykel.com is listed in the pass site and the root site works fine. Any download specs or manuals, specifically resulting in the malformed url fail.

I've been seeing this sort of crap a lot lately... badly written ajax code that uses back slashes instead of forward slashes... double forward slashes... improperly encoded special characters...

What do we have programming the net these days monkeys?

I can't reproduce this one: blocking the "online gaming" category, and
pass-listing "fulltiltpoker.com", I can get to this site through either
    "fulltiltpoker.com", "fulltiltpoker.com/index.html" or
    "fulltiltpoker.com//index.html".

What version of Untangle are you running ? Can you post a screenshot of your
    "passed sites" setting panel ?

An answer in bugzilla (http://bugzilla.untangle.com/show_bug.cgi?id=7799) would be great, but here will do too

    Cheers,
