No simpler, just snag all the blocks people put in their web filter spit them into the submissions database on a regular interval and evaluate them. Of course I'm operating on the assumption that A.) the UT server's owner gave permission, and B.) No one is going to stuff a page into the web filter that really doesn't need filtering. I'm betting that if a page is on that list, it probably belongs is at least one of the web filter categories.

i think there should be an advertisement category in the web filter
not a bad idea.
but we can only look at people's settings that have checked the 'give untangle access' checkbox in config->support. Even then we tread very lightly on interacting with people's machines.
Besides, people probably put weird stuff in their block list!
I'd also like to see an advertising category.

So make a opt-in configuration for the web filter that has it package up and send in new items on the list every x hours... That way you guys don't have to dig into the servers on your end and the client gets the warm fuzzy.

elitehackers.com
I just submitted it for removal because it is in the porn list. It really should be in the hacking list. While you're at it add elitehackers.org to the hacking list as well.

I see bulkregister.com is in the spyware block list. Anyone have info on why? I've been using bulkregister.com for all my domains (40+) for at least 6 years now.
Right now, I've just been unblocking it every time I want to go there as I don't want to remove it for everyone if there is a reason.
it looks clean to me
