Default Not able to see active Tunnel Status

I setup the untangle box and was able to get the configuration file imported on the Windows 10 client. Everything connects fine and I am able to ping the devices on the server\untangle side. But when viewing the tunnels that I have created - the active an inactive are the same - nothing showing active....even after a refresh. This is under status

WireGuard is stateless. As long as the tunnel is enabled, the tunnel is active on this end. It is far different than other VPNs like OpenVPN or IPsec.

Would be super nice to see "active" connections for many reasons.

It would probably need something like the ipsec that uses ping to detect the tunnel being down to alert. I am also curious why there is no VPN widget to show the status of tunnels and or a Ping widget in which you can monitor ping to remote hosts and show a green or red status for them.

Because there's no state to report...

That's what stateless means. Packets either show up signed properly, or they don't. It's impossible to know if any given client is connected or not. All you can see is if they've sent or received any data recently.

Perhaps we can built a report that lists all Wireguard clients that have transmitted any data in the last hour? 12 hours? 24 hours?
